About
Chiara Franceschini is a postdoctoral researcher in Mathematics at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, focusing on the intersection of probability theory and statistical physics. Her research explores interacting particle systems, stochastic duality theory for Markov processes, and non-equilibrium phenomena. In 2021, she held the Uhlenbeck Postdoctoral Fellowship at MSRI, Berkeley, participating in the program on Universality and Integrability in Random Matrix Theory and Interacting Particle Systems.
Research Interests:
- Interacting Particle Systems and Their Scaling Limits
- Stochastic Duality Theory
- Non-equilibrium Statistical Mechanics
Professional Activities:
- Attended events such as YEP XVII (EURANDOM, 2021), PSPDE IX (Braga, 2021), and Population Dynamics and Statistical Physics in Synergy (Oberwolfach, 2022).
- Presented work at venues including the Northeastern Probability Seminar (2019) and Phase Transitions and Particle Systems (WIAS Berlin, 2019).
