Chi Fun Freda Hui-Truscott

Chi Fun Freda Hui-Truscott is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Wollongong's School of Business. She holds a Fellowship with CPA Australia (2016–present) and previously lectured in Hong Kong while working in the private sector. Her research focuses on accounting's intersection with public policies, emphasizing public accountability, social justice, and banking frameworks. Freda’s work often examines accountability mechanisms in welfare programs and sustainable development initiatives in Cambodia.

Her research interests include accounting history, banking practices, and social responsibility, with a doctoral emphasis on disclosures and accountability within banking systems. Recent publications highlight the localisation of humanitarian aid and its implications for sustainable development. Freda has secured an internal grant (2023) to enhance reporting systems for Australian aid to Cambodian children.
