Professor Cheryl Wellington is affiliated with the University of British Columbia's Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Her research examines genetic and environmental risk factors for dementia, focusing on apolipoprotein E metabolism, traumatic brain injury, and cerebrovascular dysfunction. She developed a novel concussion model (CHIMERA) that replicates human head injury biomechanics.
