Dr. Cheryl Reese is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agronomy, Horticulture and Plant Science at South Dakota State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Agronomy from SDSU, M.S. in Horticulture from University of Minnesota, and B.A. in Biology/Chemistry from University of Minnesota Morris.
Her research focuses on:
- Cover crop integration in Northern Plains agriculture
- Agronomic rehabilitation of saline/sodic soils
- Remote sensing for precision nitrogen management
- On-farm research methodologies
Teaching responsibilities include Corn Production (PRAG 426/526), Soybean Production (PRAG 425/525), Wheat Production (PRAG 424/524), Soils Lab (PS 213), and Integrated Natural Resource Management (ABS 475), blending academic rigor with practical farm experience.
