Cherie Ding

Dr. Cherie Ding is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Toronto Metropolitan University. She holds a PhD from the National University of Singapore (2003). Her research focuses on bias detection, cloud service recommendation systems, fake news detection, and social network analysis. She teaches courses including Knowledge Discovery (CP 8305), Information Retrieval and Web Search (CPS 842), Data Mining (CPS 844), and Digital Computation and Programming (CPS 125).

Dr. Ding leads research in the Distributed Applications and Broadband Networks Laboratory (DABNEL), exploring distributed systems and networked applications. She is an active IEEE member and contributes to academic communities through her work in recommender systems and data science.
