Cheol Lee

Cheol Lee is a Full-time Professor and Chair of the Department of Accounting at the Mike Ilitch School of Business, Wayne State University. He has held academic roles from Instructor (2007–2008) to Chair (2023–present). His expertise spans financial reporting, earnings management, audit quality, and corporate social responsibility.

Education: PhD and MS in Accounting from SUNY Buffalo, and BA/MBA from Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul. He has served as President of the Korean-American Accounting Professor Association (KAAPA) and holds editorial roles at Advances in Accounting. His research emphasizes corporate disclosure practices, regulatory compliance, and the interplay between CSR and financial performance.
