Dr. Chengcui Zhang is a Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She serves as Director of the Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining Laboratory and Graduate Program Director at CIS. Her research spans database systems, multimedia information retrieval, data mining, and machine learning, with applications in medical imaging, disaster response, and astrophysics.
