ChengHe Guan

ChengHe Guan is an Assistant Professor of Urban Science and Policy at NYU Shanghai and a Global Network Assistant Professor at New York University. His research focuses on urban geographical processes shaping cities, urban design, land use policy, and spatial analysis through computational modeling.

Research Interests:

• Changing urban geographical processes that shape cities, towns, and landscapes

• Equity analysis in transportation systems
• Spatial analysis and simulation

Research Trends: His recent work using synthetic data to analyze transportation equity combines urban simulation modeling, mobility service design, and consumer surplus analysis across metropolitan and rural regions.

Collaborative Efforts: As part of NYU Tandon's C2SMARTER research center and NYU Shanghai's faculty, he collaborates with transportation data firm Replica to develop privacy-preserving urban analytics tools.
