Cheng Liu

Dr. Cheng Liu is a Researcher at Wageningen University & Research, actively contributing to the Team Agrochains and Business Unit Agrosystems Research. His work focuses on Food Safety, Mycotoxin management, and Environmental Modeling, with a strong emphasis on Food Systems and sustainable agricultural practices.

Dr. Liu has led and collaborated on numerous projects, including the Nature Positive Food Systems initiative and the REAP2SOW project, addressing technical and economic aspects of mycotoxin control in food supply chains. His research integrates data and models across scales to assess synergies and tradeoffs in sustainable practices.

He has contributed to key outputs such as the Good Modelling Practice for Model Collaboration white paper and the Journal of Agriculture and Food Research article on intercropped wheat. Dr. Liu frequently engages in academic and professional activities, including presentations at the Wageningen Model and Data Day 2023 and the 2023 LVVN project.
