Dr. Chelsea Huang is a Senior Research Fellow in Astrophysics at the University of Southern Queensland's School of Mathematics, Physics and Computing. Her research focuses on exoplanet discovery and characterization using data from TESS, CHEOPS, and other observatories.
Research areas include:
- Exoplanet demographics and formation mechanisms
- Young planetary systems and stellar clusters
- Atmospheric characterization of sub-Neptunes
She currently supervises multiple doctoral students working on exoplanet detection and characterization. Recent discoveries include temperate Earth-sized planets, hot Jupiters, and systems with resonant planetary architectures.
