Cheikh Ndiaye is an Associate Professor of French and Francophone Studies at Union College, specializing in pre-colonial, colonial, and post-colonial literatures of French-speaking regions. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut and an M.A. and B.A. from the University of Dakar, Senegal. His research focuses on African oral traditions, postcolonial identity, and the Negritude movement, with interdisciplinary connections to Africana and Caribbean studies.
