Charlotte Rabl

Charlotte Rabl is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU), Salzburg, affiliated with the University Clinic for Surgery. She holds the title of Privatdozent and Senior Physician, contributing to both clinical practice and academic research in the Department of Surgery within the Faculty of Medicine.

Research Interests: Dr. Rabl’s work focuses on bariatric surgery, gastrointestinal disorders, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Her research emphasizes obesity treatment mechanisms, such as adaptive thermogenesis after gastric bypass, and esophageal conditions like Barrett’s esophagus and achalasia. She also investigates surgical oncology and management of esophageal perforation through multinational studies.
