Charlotte Mackintosh

Charlotte Mackintosh is a Senior Lecturer at Staffordshire University within the Health, Education, Policing and Sciences faculty. She is a BABCP-qualified CBT therapist since 2016, with extensive clinical experience across Primary/Secondary care, Forensic settings, and the Charity sector. Her work focuses on trauma-related conditions, particularly combat PTSD, and she specializes in supporting Armed Forces personnel and veterans. Alongside her academic role, she serves as a CBT therapist and clinical supervisor in the NHS IAPT service.

Her clinical expertise includes advanced training in EMDR, ACT, and CFT. Professional affiliations include membership with the British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP). She actively bridges clinical practice and academia, contributing to both therapeutic innovation and student mentorship.
