Charlotte Hamilton Clark

Charlotte Hamilton Clark is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at University College London (UCL) within the Institute of Education (IOE), specifically in the Culture, Communication & Media department. Her academic work focuses on disability studies, neurodiversity, and identity in higher education, particularly exploring the lived experiences of dyslexic students. She holds a PhD from UCL (2015–2022), an MSc in Biodiversity, Wildlife & Ecosystem Health from the University of Edinburgh, and an MA in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford.

Research Interests: Clark’s research examines the intersection of social science approaches to education with neurodiversity, stigma, and disability advocacy. Her PhD thesis, *Classification and Stigma: Theorising the Identity Impact of Dyslexia for Students in UK Higher Education*, highlights her commitment to understanding systemic challenges faced by neurodivergent students. She also investigates inclusive education policies and teacher training, advocating for equity in educational environments.

Clark concurrently holds roles as a Director at Capital SCF and Link Governor for Learning Differences and Disability at Peter Symonds College. She has extensive non-academic experience in financial services and consultancy. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and 3 (Good Health and Well-Being).
