Charles Wolfe

Charles Wolfe, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor in the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering at the University of San Diego. With over 40 years of industry experience, his career focused on radio communication systems, including GPS navigation, point-to-point radios, networked radios, mobile cellular systems, and satellite communications. He has held roles in systems engineering, project management, and product management within radio communications.

• BS in Electrical Engineering, California Institute of Technology (Caltech)

His research interests emphasize practical applications of telecommunications engineering, including complex system design and management across diverse communication platforms. Dr. Wolfe is a Life Member of the IEEE.

He has taught upper-level electrical engineering courses at San Diego State University and the University of California, Irvine, in addition to his current role at USD.
