Charles Stocking is an Associate Professor jointly appointed in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education and the Department of Classics at the University of Texas at Austin's College of Liberal Arts. He holds a Ph.D. in Classics (2009) from UCLA, where he previously worked as a strength and conditioning coach for Olympic athletes. His research bridges ancient physical culture, philosophy, and modern receptions of antiquity.
