Dr. Charles Pigott is a Senior Lecturer in Hispanic Studies at the University of Strathclyde, specializing in Indigenous literatures and languages of Mexico, Peru, and Bolivia. He holds a PhD from the University of London and has held prestigious fellowships, including a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship at the University of Cambridge and a Mexican Government Postdoctoral Fellowship. His research bridges Literary Studies, Linguistics, Anthropology, and Philosophy, focusing on cultural memory and biocultural heritage within Indigenous contexts, particularly through the lens of the Environmental Humanities.
