Charles Murry

Charles Murry is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Michigan and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia (2014) and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Delaware (2006). His research focuses on empirical industrial organization and antitrust economics, with a particular emphasis on market power dynamics in industries like automobiles, airlines, and broadband. He has also contributed to econometric methodologies for analyzing market outcomes.

Previously, Murry held positions at Boston College (2018–2024) and Pennsylvania State University (2014–2018). His work examines topics such as bundling strategies in public procurement, price discrimination in international markets, and regulatory impacts on market structure. He has published in top journals like the Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, and International Economic Review.
