Charles J. Neighbors

Charles J. Neighbors, PhD, MBA, is an Associate Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, holding dual appointments in the Department of Population Health and the Department of Psychiatry. He serves as Director of the Health Evaluation and Analytics Lab (HEAL), focusing on improving substance use disorder (SUD) treatment systems.

Research Interests center on substance use disorders, addiction, and health policy, with emphasis on Medicaid beneficiaries and vulnerable populations. His work addresses healthcare disparities, telehealth implementation, and measurement-based care in SUD treatment.

Recent Publications explore topics like treatment disparities in Asian American communities, telehealth access during the pandemic, and electronic measurement-based care tools. The HEAL Lab drives his focus on system-level interventions for addiction services.
