Charles Creagh

Charles Creagh is a Lecturer in the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University. He holds a Master’s in Design of Sustainable Urban Environments (MDes-SUEN) from Northeastern University (2015) and a BS from the University of Maine at Farmington (2008). As a senior transportation planner at the City of Cambridge Community Development Department, his work focuses on advancing active transportation infrastructure—such as pedestrian and bicycle networks—to enhance safety, equity, and community vibrancy while reducing reliance on single-occupant vehicles.

His research and professional practice emphasize sustainability, urban ecological systems, and commute mode shift strategies. He has contributed to projects across scales—from neighborhood to state-level initiatives—designing Complete Streets, bike-share systems, and trail networks to expand accessible, healthy transportation options.
