Chaoping Li is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the James Madison University (JMU) College of Business. He holds a DBA in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University (2018). Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at Skidmore College from 2018-2024. His research focuses on managerial accounting, cost accounting, and ethical decision-making in professional settings. He actively contributes to the accounting community through roles such as Board Member of the IMA Tech Valley Chapter (2021-present) and Member of the CMA Exam Review Committee (2021-present). His work bridges organizational behavior with accounting practices, examining topics like peer influence on honesty, group identity effects on shirking, and ethics education outcomes.
