Chantel Chauvin is Instructor of Sociology at Louisiana State University, teaching courses in the criminology concentration. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from LSU (2013), an M.A. in Applied Sociology from University of Central Florida, and a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from LSU with a Certificate in Paralegal Studies.
Her instructional portfolio includes Introduction to Crime Studies (SOCL 2301), Sociology of Criminal Justice (SOCL 3371), Criminology (SOCL 4461), and Introductory Sociology (SOCL 2001). She previously taught criminal justice courses at River Parishes Community College, including dual-enrollment offerings for high school students.
