Chang Liu is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), with a joint appointment in the Samueli School of Engineering. His research focuses on directed evolution, protein engineering, synthetic biology, and genetic systems.
