Chandra Bhat

Chandra Bhat is a Professor holding the Joe J. King Chair in Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin's Cockrell School of Engineering, Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering. His educational background includes a Ph.D. from Northwestern University (1991), M.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1987), and B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (1985).

Dr. Bhat's research explores the social and environmental implications of transportation systems, connected/automated transportation technologies, and predictive analytics. His work investigates human behavioral dynamics in activity-travel choices, urban policy design, public health interfaces, energy dependence, and sustainable development.
