Chady Meroueh

Dr. Chady Meroueh is a Physician Scientist at Mayo Clinic's Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology within the College of Medicine, specializing in Anatomic Pathology. Board-certified in AP/CP/Cytopathology/Clinical Informatics, he completed his Clinical Informatics fellowship at Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education (2021) following an 11-year clinical practice in North Iowa. Current affiliations include the Pathology Research Core Advisory Board, Laboratory and Pathology Stewardship Committee, and membership in the American Medical Informatics Association, Digital Pathology Association, and Association for Pathology Informatics.

His research focuses on Machine Learning applications for pathology workflow optimization, rare event detection, and disease mechanisms in alcoholic/non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Recent work integrates digital pathology with spatial omics for steatohepatitis diagnostics and leverages foundation models for histopathology image analysis. Publications demonstrate strong translational impact across liver disease mechanisms, AI-driven tumor segmentation, and robotic microscopy systems.

Scientific recognition includes Mayo Clinic's Quality Academy Silver Certificate for QI project presentation (2020), the W. Peter McCabe Memorial Fund Award (2005), and a full-tuition medical scholarship (1994).
