Chad Timm is an Associate Professor of Teacher Education and Director of the SC Honors Program at Simpson College. He earned his PhD in Education from Iowa State University (2008) and MA in History from Iowa State University (2002), following his BA in History from Simpson College (1995).

- Social Studies Education
- Popular Culture and Pedagogy
- Equity in Education
- Community Education
His publications explore intersections of popular media (e.g., Avengers Infinity Saga, The Wire, Hamilton, Deadpool, Planet of the Apes, Game of Thrones) with pedagogical frameworks and qualitative methodologies. Current projects include a book on historical inquiry through popular media.
