Chad Raphael is a Professor of Communication at Santa Clara University's College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University. His research focuses on political and environmental communication, emphasizing community-engaged research for environmental justice and deliberative democracy. He co-edited Ground Truths: Community-Engaged Research for Environmental Justice and authored Investigated Reporting, which received multiple awards. Raphael has led SCU initiatives like Sustainability across the Curriculum and the Environmental Justice and the Common Good Initiative.
