Chad Middleton

Chad Middleton holds dual roles as Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, Faculty Success and Professor of Physics at Colorado Mesa University (CMU). He earned his PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and a BS in physics from Eastern Illinois University. His research focuses on Einstein’s general relativity, particularly cosmology in higher-dimensional spacetimes and collaborative projects with undergraduates exploring topics like warped spandex fabric orbital models, fluid dynamics, and kayaking physics.

He teaches advanced physics courses including Fundamental Mechanics, Electromagnetism, and Quantum Mechanics.
