Chad Bousman

Dr. Chad Bousman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Genetics at the University of Calgary. He leads the Psychiatric Pharmacogenetics Lab where his research bridges genomics and clinical psychiatry.

His work focuses on three interconnected domains: Genomics (gene-drug interactions), Mental Illness (depression/schizophrenia mechanisms), and Pharmacotherapy (treatment optimization). The core mission involves developing genetic tools to guide medication selection/dosing, while investigating how genes and environments jointly influence neuropsychiatric outcomes.
