Cezary Rudnicki

Cezary Rudnicki is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of History of Philosophy and Comparative Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. His work bridges contemporary French and Italian philosophy, ancient ethics, and Polish political traditions, with a special focus on Edward Abramowski's cooperative philosophy and Foucault's ethical turn.

Research Interests include: Foucault's genealogical methods, Deleuze and Guattari's machine ontology, ancient Greek techne tou biou (art of life), Polish cooperative movements, early Christian monastic practices, and historical reconstructions of 'Solidarity' movement ethics. His scholarship critically examines truth-telling (parenesia), power dynamics, and alternative conceptualizations of pleasure.

Key Publications: Co-authored Metaphysics of Cooperation (2023) on Abramowski's social philosophy, authored Etyka przeciwko moralności (2022) analyzing Foucault's ancient ethics, and O przyjemności (2022) – a non-academic philosophical essay.

Academic Engagement spans theoretical seminars on Marx's Capital reinterpretations, Deleuze studies, and Foucault's Collège de France lectures. He actively contributes to Praktyka Teoretyczna and other Polish philosophical journals.
