Cesare Andrea Papazzoni

Dr. Cesare Andrea Papazzoni serves as Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical and Geological Sciences, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. His expertise spans vertebrate paleontology, biostratigraphy, and paleoenvironmental reconstructions with a focus on foraminifera and carbonate systems. Teaching responsibilities include courses on Paleontology and Evolution of Vertebrates (Master's in Science Teaching and Communication) and Applied Biostratigraphy (Geosciences program), where students engage in fossil identification, gamma-ray stratigraphy, and paleoclimatic analysis.

Research interests center on climate change impacts on marine calcifiers during Paleogene thermal events (EECO, MECO).
