Celine Bayou

Celine Bayou is a Lecturer at the University of Paris Cité (INALCO), affiliated with the Europe, International relations department. Her research focuses on the geopolitics of the Baltic-Nordic region, Russia-EU relations, energy interdependencies, and urban dynamics in Russia and Eastern Europe.

• Education: Affiliated with CNU Section 13 (Slavic languages and literature).

Research Areas: Bayou specializes in the geopolitics of Eurasia, Central/Eastern Europe, and energy security. Her work bridges international relations theory with regional case studies, emphasizing post-Soviet transitions and European integration.

Scientific Contributions: She has co-authored and edited books on Baltic states, Eastern European transitions, and energy interdependencies, including Des ponts à l'Est: liens, blessures et symboles (2024) and Les États baltes en transition (2012).

Leadership: Bayou serves as head of the Russie, Europe orientale, Asie centrale, Caucase department at INALCO and is an associate member at CREE (Centre de Recherche sur les Espaces Russophones). She contributes to the journal Regard sur l'Est as chief editor.
