Cedric Rudolph is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Pittsburgh, affiliated with the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. He holds an MFA in Poetry and Pedagogy from Chatham University. His teaching spans traditional and nontraditional settings, including adult education at Allegheny County Jail through Chatham’s Words Without Walls Program, middle/high school instruction at Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School, and virtual workshops with the Institute for Anti-Racist Education. He co-founded Chatham’s Black Writers in Residence program and has published poetry in journals such as Christianity and Literature Journal and The Laurel Review.
His work emphasizes socially engaged art and anti-racist pedagogy, blending creative writing with community outreach. Recent roles include teaching assistant at the Institute for Anti-Racist Education (2023) and adjunct positions at Community College of Allegheny County before joining Pitt in 2023.
