Cecilia Caiman is a Lecturer at Stockholm University's Department of Subject Didactics, specializing in science education with particular focus on sustainable development and aesthetic approaches to teaching.
Her research interests include:
- Learning and teaching for sustainable development within science education
- Using and generating didactic tools and models for teachers' teaching
- The role of aesthetics in science education
- Children's and students' opportunities for influence, agency, creativity and exploration
She actively participates in multiple research projects including a VR project on teaching for sustainable development in preschool (2018-2022), a Swedish Institute for School Research project on supporting students from non-academic backgrounds with Swedish as a second language (2020-2022), and leads the 'Sustainable Development in Education in Ronneby' (HUUR) project (2023-2025).
