Catrine Kostenius

Catrine Kostenius is Professor in Health Science at Luleå University of Technology, specializing in health promotion across the lifespan. With expertise in child health and education, she leads research on school health programs and digital mental health interventions.

Research Focus: Her work includes the EduWell project examining health education across Nordic countries, and ChatPal—an EU-funded initiative developing AI-based mental health apps for youth. She contributes to Swedish governmental commissions on student health and has co-authored SBU reports on mental well-being promotion.

International Engagement: Represents Sweden in Networks for Health Promotion Research (NHPRN) and Schools for Health in Europe (SHE).
