Cathleen Crowell

Cathleen Crowell is a Clinical Professor in the School of Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences at Oregon State University, with affiliations in Athletic Training and Kinesiology. Her work bridges clinical practice and research in sports medicine and human movement science.

Her research focuses on understanding postural stability and human motion deficits in physically active individuals, particularly those suffering from lower extremity joint instability and chronic injuries. She investigates the biomechanical mechanisms underlying injury to improve clinical outcomes and rehabilitation strategies.

Dr. Crowell is actively involved in research through the Sports Injury Prevention Research Group, where she contributes to advancing knowledge in injury biomechanics and prevention. Her expertise supports the development of evidence-based practices in athletic training and rehabilitation.

She is currently accepting PhD students, indicating ongoing mentorship and research supervision, but is not accepting MS students at this time.
