Cathleen Clark

Cathleen Clark is an Adjunct Professor and Buchanan Postdoctoral Fellow at Queen's University. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, M.A. from Queen's University, B.Ed. and B.A. from Queen's and Trent University respectively. Her research focuses on postwar Canadian history, Indigenous activism, and education policy. She currently works on two major projects: one examining intertribal Indigenous activism from the 1960s-80s, and another analyzing the Department of Indian Affairs’ school integration policies alongside Indigenous education movements.

Her research interests intersect Indigenous politics, transnational movements, and educational historiography. She critically engages with history education pedagogy, leveraging her BEd background. Her work has been recognized with the Finlayson Gold Medal for her doctoral research on Red Power activism and international Indigenous rights campaigns.
