Catherine Walsh

Catherine Walsh is a Senior Lecturer in Education at Middlesex University, serving as Programme Lead for the PG Cert Teaching and Postgraduate Teacher Apprenticeship. She teaches courses on School-Based Professional Practice, Assessment and Monitoring, and mentors on Secondary PGCE and Employment-Based Teacher Training programs.

Her research interests include addressing challenges in girls' education, developing initiatives to build academic confidence, and exploring ethical applications of AI to reduce teacher workload. Walsh serves as a School Governor at St George's Catholic Primary School, overseeing computing, maths, and science curricula.

She holds the National Professional Qualification in Leading Teacher Development (NPQTLD) and has served as an external examiner for teacher education programs at multiple universities.
