Dr. Catherine Thomas is an Associate Professor of Managerial Economics and Strategy at the London School of Economics (LSE). She serves as Director of the International Trade Programme at the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) and Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research. Her roles include Co-Editor of Economica, Associate Editor of Management Science, and membership on editorial boards of the Review of Economic Studies and Strategic Management Journal. She previously directed the BSc Management program at LSE and now chairs its Steering Committee. Catherine chairs the Knowledge Exchange and Impact Strategy Group in the Management Department and sits on LSE's Teaching Excellence Framework sub-committee.

Her research focuses on international economic integration, including global value chain structures and firm organizational/ownership decisions.
