Catherine Tattersall

Dr Catherine Tattersall is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield, affiliated with the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery and the Department of Human Communication Sciences. Her expertise includes Motor Speech Disorders, Voice, and Clinical Methods, informed by 15+ years of academic and NHS experience.

• Research Fellowship at Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute, Philadelphia
• NHS Speech and Language Therapist in Liverpool

Her research focuses on Acquired Aphasia, Spoken Word Production Models, and Therapy for Word Finding Deficits. Recent work explores Neurogenic Dysarthria interventions and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation applicability.

She collaborates with Dr Karen Sage (University of Manchester) and has contributed to international studies on dysarthria rehabilitation. Her publications span neurorehabilitation, speech production, and aphasia treatment.
