Dr. Catherine Rawn is a Professor of Teaching and Associate Head of Undergraduate Affairs in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver. She also serves as a Senator (Joint Faculties Representative) at UBC Vancouver. Her expertise lies in teaching excellence, educational leadership, and curriculum development. She has held leadership roles such as Curriculum Committee Chair at the Department and Faculty of Arts levels and currently chairs the Senate Curriculum Committee. Her research focuses on grading policies, Indigeneity, equity, and curriculum renewal.
Education: BA (Honours), Psychology (University of Waterloo, 2003); MA and PhD in Social/Personality Psychology (UBC, 2005, 2009).
Teaching: She teaches courses in research methods, behavioral data analysis, and the psychology of teaching and learning. Notable courses include PSYC 217/218 (Research Methods and Analysis) and PSYC 417 (Applied Psychology of Teaching and Learning).
