Professor Catherine Pickstock is the Norris-Hulse Professor of Divinity at the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Divinity, part of the School of Arts & Humanities. She joined in 2018, previously holding roles including Professor of Metaphysics and Poetics (2015–2018), Research Fellow, and University Lecturer. A key figure in the Radical Orthodoxy movement co-founded in 1999 with John Milbank and Graham Ward, she collaborates across disciplines such as medieval studies, architectural theory, and comparative literature.
Her research focuses on the philosophy of religion, blending theology with literary and philosophical analysis. She has pioneered interdisciplinary projects, including engagements with composers, liturgists, and stone letter-carvers. Supervising PhD students like Elise Morrison and Xinyi Yang, she also participates in the University’s Graduate School and School committees.
