Catherine Pape serves as an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Human Services within the College of Health & Human Services at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), where she has taught since fall 2017. Her instructional portfolio spans undergraduate and graduate courses including Introduction to Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice, Corrections, Race and Criminal Justice, and Research Methods.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Criminal Justice from BGSU and is currently ABD (All But Dissertation) for her Ph.D., with dissertation research examining life course experiences of native versus foreign-born individuals. Her scholarly work centers on institutional and community corrections, offender reentry dynamics, and immigration-related criminological patterns, leveraging expertise in policy analysis, criminological theory, and quantitative methodologies.
Pape actively applies her research through community engagement as a member of the Wood County Reentry Coalition, focusing on practical reentry solutions for justice-involved populations.
