Catherine O'Sullivan

Catherine O'Sullivan is a Lecturer in Law at the University College Cork (UCC), affiliated with the College of Business and Law and the Department of Law. She holds a B.C.L. (1995) and LL.M. (1996) from UCC, and a Ph.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, Canada (2005). Her research focuses on Criminal Law, Criminology, Gender and the Law, Children's Rights, and Law and Popular Culture. She has contributed to major publications such as Criminal Law in Ireland: Cases and Commentary and Fundamentals of the Irish Legal System.

Her work has been supported by grants including a €77,833 award from the Irish Research Council (2019–2022) to reform mental condition defenses.
