Catherine Maware

Catherine Maware is an Assistant Professor in the Fujio Cho Department of Engineering Technology at the University of Kentucky, part of the Stanley and Karen Pigman College of Engineering. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Systems from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and multiple engineering degrees from institutions in Zimbabwe. Her research focuses on Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0/5.0 integration, quality management, and sustainable manufacturing practices. She has evaluated educational models for Lean training programs and investigated challenges in lean implementation across industries.

Her work includes analyzing human factors in lean practices, green manufacturing integration, and the impact of additive manufacturing on lean systems. She also studies educational methodologies for lean training programs and the challenges of lean transformation in global manufacturing contexts.
