Catherine Malabou

Catherine Malabou is Professor of Philosophy at The European Graduate School and Professor of Modern European Philosophy at Kingston University's Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy. She earned her PhD under Jacques Derrida.

Her groundbreaking work on plasticity bridges continental philosophy with neuroscience, examining concepts of flexibility and resistance in neuronal and political structures. She explores intersections of philosophy with psychoanalysis, feminism, and political theory.

Recent research includes destructive plasticity studies and the metaphysics of intelligence. She manages a philosophy book series for Éditions Léo Scheer and has delivered prestigious lectures including the Wellek Lectures at UC Irvine.
