Catherine Loveday

Catherine Loveday is a Professor of Neuropsychology at the University of Westminster, specializing in autobiographical memory, neuropsychology of ageing, and the psychology of music. Her research examines how memories shape identity and how musical memories support selfhood in older adults.

She collaborates with people experiencing memory loss and conducts interdisciplinary work examining the lived experience of amnesia. Current projects investigate the relationship between music memory, emotional states, and social functioning across the lifespan.

Dr. Loveday is author of 'The Secret World of the Brain' and frequently contributes to BBC Radio programs on psychological topics. She develops cognitive assessments for conditions including dementia, traumatic brain injury, and hydrocephalus.
