Catherine Greene is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Microbiology at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and Deputy Head of the School of Postgraduate Studies overseeing PhD programs. She holds editorial roles including Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Innate Immunity and Associate Editor of the European Respiratory Review. Her research focuses on innate immunity in cystic fibrosis (CF) and α-1 antitrypsin deficiency, with emphasis on non-coding RNA mechanisms and translational therapies. She has supervised 23 doctoral students and examined 25 PhD theses.
