Catherine Babecki is an Olga Taussky and John Todd - Von Kármán Postdoctoral Scholar Teaching Fellow at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), jointly affiliated with the Mathematics and Computing and Mathematical Sciences (CMS) departments. She is mentored by Venkat Chandrasekaran, Leonard Schulman (CMS), and David Conlon (Mathematics). Her PhD from the University of Washington (2023) was advised by Rekha Thomas.
Her research focuses on combinatorics, discrete geometry, optimization, graph theory, spectral graph theory, and theoretical computer science. She develops MATLAB tools for computing graphical designs, hosted on her GitHub repository.
