Catherine Allan

Catherine Allan is a Professor of Environmental Science at Charles Sturt University (CSU), affiliated with the School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences and the Gulbali Research Institute. Her research focuses on adaptive management, environmental sociology, and participatory approaches to empower communities in addressing complex social-ecological challenges. She leads the social/economic aspects of the Cooperative Research Centre for High Performance Soils (Soil CRC) and collaborates on projects in Australia and Pakistan, particularly addressing salinity and groundwater management.
